<p>Hours & Shift</p> <p>This role will initially follow a first-shift schedule during typical business hours. Starting Late Spring/Early Summer 2026 the schedule will transition to second shift, following a 4, 10s schedule. Typical hours will be 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM, with shifts assigned on various days Sunday through Friday. Beginning in Fall 2026, the permanent schedule is expected to take effect which will be 12-hour 2-2-3 shifts, 5:00PM - 5:00AM. This is a unique opportunity to help launch and support a facility built from the ground up.</p> <p>In this hands-on role, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, and support automated manufacturing, utility, and facility systems. The position focuses on PLC-controlled equipment, drives, instrumentation, and utilities, along with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You'll perform preventative maintenance, respond to equipment issues, and use CMMS to track work orders, parts, and repairs.</p> <p>You'll work closely with operations, engineering, quality, and vendors to support daily production, reliability improvements, and capital projects. This role also plays a key part in continuous improvement, safety, and compliance with GMP, food safety, and regulatory standards (OSHA, FDA, USDA).</p> <p>If you're a proactive problem solver who enjoys automation, manufacturing technology, and being part of something new, apply today and help shape the future of dairy manufacturing at Grande.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and troubleshoot automated manufacturing, utility, and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable operation. </li><li>Diagnose and repair PLC controlled equipment, drives, motors, power supplies, instrumentation, and control devices. </li><li>Support utility systems including boilers, refrigeration (ammonia), chilled water, glycol, and water/wastewater systems. </li><li>Perform maintenance in compliance with safety, permit, and regulatory requirements, including LOTO and contractor oversight. </li><li>Verify proper equipment restoration and operational readiness following maintenance activities. </li><li>Conduct routine facility and utility rounds to identify abnormal or early failure conditions. </li><li>Support preventive maintenance, AM standards, and reliability improvements, including BOM and spare parts accuracy. </li><li>Develop and maintain work instructions and documentation; coach operators and junior technicians as needed. </li><li>Participate in daily management systems, continuous improvement, and capital or improvement projects. </li><li>Coordinate work with operations, engineering, quality, and external vendors to ensure successful execution. </li></ul> <p>Why Grande?</p> <p>With more than 80 years of crafting "The Finest Italian Cheeses Money Can Buy", Grande is a leader in the industry! An equivalent level of experience may be considered. </li><li>5 years Maintenance Experience </li><li>Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial automation. </li><li>Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments. </li><li>Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with utilities (boilers, refrigeration, chilled water, ammonia). </li><li>Familiarity with GMP audits and food safety standards. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Conditions:</p> <p>This role requires the ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing between 20-50 lbs, as well as frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and exposure to vibration. The work environment may involve exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold), high humidity, and loud machinery.</p>
