Load truck with front-end loader. Tarp and remove tarp from loads. Remote railcar loading at Diatom. R </li><li>Responsible for safe operations of equipment, following all traffic rules on and off company property. </li><li>Responsible for understanding and communication of daily requirements. </li><li>Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. </li><li>Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Assists in performance of emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains etc., inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition. </li><li>Operating the water and/or dump truck. </li><li>Filing paperwork for the exploration/mining departments. </li><li>Assist with data entry. </li><li>Assist with quality analysis and equipment calibration. </li><li>Assist with equipment monitoring and inspections. </li><li>Conducting safety audits (looking for unsafe conditions and unsafe acts). </li><li>Help safety manager prepare safety training and present training to other employees. </li><li>General plant cleanup, including but not limited to, sweeping with push broom and vacuuming warehouse floors, cleaning hoppers and taking waste to the landfill. </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li><li>High School Diploma or general education (GED). </li><li>High level of safety and quality. </li><li>Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times), work in outside conditions during all seasons, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.). </li><li>Good problem-solving skills. </li><li>Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge - Preferred. </li><li>Forklift experience - Preferred. </li><li>Computer Software - Preferred. </li><li>Warehouse experience - Preferred. </li><li>Listens and obtains clarification when needed, follows policies and procedures, monitors own work for to ensure quality. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as Safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. </li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. </li><li>Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. </li><li>Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. </li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. </li><li>Ability to work in confined as spaces and elevated locations. </li><li>1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Nevada Class 1 Driver's License, Endorsements for Doubles and Tankers, DOT Physical, and Medical Card Required. </li><li>Must have Heavy Equipment/Wheel Loader experience. </li></ul> <p>U.S. Silica is a leading producer of industrial minerals essential to modern life.
