<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>Student Engagement & Activities is a part of the Student Engagement & Leadership team within the Division of Student Affairs that connects students to meaningful involvement opportunities across campus. Through Campus Activities, the Organization Resource Group (ORG), and the Resource Centers, we provide programs, facilities, and services that foster community, support student success, and deepen students' sense of belonging. By creating engaging experiences and offering resources, Student Engagement & Activities enhances the student experience and helps make Mizzou a home for all students.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>This position supports oversight of the Student Activity Fee budget for student organizations by training student leaders, representing organizational interests to University administrators, and managing travel and general expense processes.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Deliver monthly Administrative and Finance training to student organization leaders on funding policies and procedures </li><li>Manage Travel and General Expense budget processes, including reviewing requests and developing budget restrictions </li><li>Support Student Organization Allocation Committee (SOAC) meetings to ensure consistent application of policy </li><li>Administer the student organization travel reimbursement process </li><li>Assist the Organization Resource Group Chair for Events & Operations Finances with budget planning and oversight </li><li>Support the Coordinator in planning and facilitating weekly staff meetings. </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities is expected in order to serve the customer and maintain the Student Affairs mission. </li></ul> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range</p> <p>$17.50 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis.</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>Average number of hours per week: 15-20.</p> <p>Shifts occur Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. with occasional evenings required.</p> <p>This position may require evening and weekend hours supporting activities and programs within the department. Occasionally division and campus projects may require additional hours outside of your normal schedule.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>To be eligible for a student title, an individual must be enrolled at the University of Missouri. Enrollment in the summer session is not required if the student was enrolled in the Spring semester and is pre-enrolled for the Fall semester. Selection is contingent upon results of a review with the Office of Institutional Equity, Office of Student Accountability & Support, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, previous MU appointment history, and reference checks.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability may include current or previous course work in accounting, finance, or other business-related fields. </li><li>Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service to all customers, both internal and external. </li><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, task-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. </li><li>Strong reading comprehension in order to follow written instructions, prepare work-related documents, and communicate in writing. </li><li>Ability to work 15-20 hours per week on a regular basis. </li></ul> <p>Application Materials</p> <p>Complete application, and upload the following: résumé, class schedule, cover letter, and 3 or more references which must include at least 1 MU supervisor (if applicable). The individual demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior, acts responsibly with the interests of the larger community in mind and is able to learn from their mistakes. </li><li>Career Management: Identify and articulate one's skills, strengths, knowledge and experiences relevant to the position desired and career goals, and identify areas necessary for professional growth.
