<p>Kforce has a client in Hazelwood, MO that is seeking an Accounting Manager.</p> <p>Overview: The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with applicable standards, and the development of accounting staff. This role partners closely with leadership to support financial decision-making and process improvements.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements </li><li>Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries </li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and controls </li><li>Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; assign and review work </li><li>Coordinate with external auditors and support audit and tax-related activities </li><li>Monitor and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls </li><li>Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership on financial matters </li><li>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field </li><li>CPA or similar certification preferred </li><li>5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management </li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements </li><li>Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills </li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills </li></ul>
