<p>Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is an integral part of the clinical team, primarily responsible for providing safe, evidence-based care for patients. This role involves exceptional support and the ability to anticipate the needs of both clinicians and patients.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Monitor, document, and communicate patients' vital statistics and measurements. </li><li>Conduct specimen collection. </li><li>Observe and note any physical or emotional changes in patients. </li><li>Prepare examination rooms for patient visits. </li><li>Choose, prepare, and manage medical supplies and equipment. </li><li>Ensure the patient environment is comfortable, organized, safe, and hygienic. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of patient information. </li><li>Prepare patients for follow-up care post-treatment. </li><li>Potentially guide and educate other LPNs. </li><li>Serve as a knowledgeable resource on nursing-related issues for the section. </li><li>Organize and manage scheduling for patients and necessary medical tests. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>LPN License in the state of Connecticut. </li><li>Proven capability to thrive in dynamic, multi-specialty medical settings and various locations. </li><li>Attendance and reliability. </li><li>Experience with EPIC systems. </li><li>1-2 years of experience in a medical office, including triage, care management, and patient care. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication skills. </li><li>Previous medical office experience. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in a multi-specialty office located in New Haven County. Flexibility for the schedule is between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.
