<p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Location(s) Shelton, Connecticut Status Regular Job ID REQ-056762</p> <p>JobResponsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Meet and exceed sales targets, including total booked order value and associated margin</p> </li><li> <p>Generate sales pipeline by meeting outbound sales activity targets including daily phone calls, customer conversations, quote deliveries, and order conversions</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute to team success against targets and collaborate with other sales reps</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with leadership to develop growth strategies for assigned territory</p> </li><li> <p>Contact customers to follow up on leads generated through service engineers and other channels</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to customer inquiries and act as their point of contact for PerkinElmer</p> </li><li> <p>Develop product knowledge to effectively grow portfolio within territory</p> </li><li> <p>Follow company best practices and processes and learn effective selling techniques</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain sales pipeline and activity accurately in CRM tools</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities of this job at any time</p> <p>Critical Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be results-driven and possess the ability to utilize exceptional negotiation skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work within a Team Selling Model and engage field-based resources as necessary to advance opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Aptitude to learn new systems and retain technical information.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships via the telephone and email.</p> </li><li> <p>Highly effective time management and organizational skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Process orientated, with a strong knowledge of selling, marketing & the customer care process.</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>1 year of inside sales experience. </li></ul> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar scientific field</p> </li><li> <p>General knowledge of CRM systems is preferred. Salesforce.com experience is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant experience in the analytical instruments & consumables industry</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant experience in laboratory or field service operations</p> </li></ul> <p>The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $56,680.00 to $79,760.00. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.</p>
