Our employees are innovative thinkers who have a passion for driving bold action, competing and winning as a team, and who actively support the communities in which we live and work. 85% of the households in America have a Broan product installed somewhere; come join the industry leader!</p> <p>Business Job Title: Spot Welder</p> <p>Job Summary: The Spot Welder is responsible to work safely to produce quality weldments, ensuring production requirements are achieved while striving to exceed rate expectations, and conduct all 5S activities.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform a variety of weldments which may involve a variety or number of parts where assemblies may be clamped or involve holding jigs and fixtures to maintain tolerances. </li><li>May recommend jigs and fixtures are built to hold work in place. </li><li>Determine number of welding points and contact cycles. </li><li>Regulate current and set automatic timing cycles. </li><li>Rig equipment for holding and positioning work. Change and dress electrodes. </li><li>Instruct others, inspect quality and assist team members. Use rule, scale and fixed gauges. </li><li>Operate all forming equipment to shape and form a variety of parts following prescribed and standardized methods. </li><li>Visually inspect pieces and check parts with templates and/or blueprints to ensure proper fit. </li><li>Involvement in the 5S program, Stretching Program and engagement in the daily SQDCI meeting. </li><li>May assist with set ups. Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Requires ability to work from drawings, blueprints, process sheets, job specifications and instructions. </li><li>Requires ability to do basic mathematics, set up equipment, run forming equipment, and ability to run a spot welder. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Able to continuously lift, carry and stack parts weighing up to twenty pounds. </li></ul>
