<p>Job Title: Senior Field Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Senior Field Technician performs advanced mechanical and electrical work on power transmission, distribution, and generation equipment at customer facilities. This role leads complex testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning activities in substations and power plants, ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality operation of electrical power equipment. The position offers the opportunity to grow into a leadership role, guiding service offerings, mentoring team members, and building strong relationships with clients across a wide range of industries.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing</p> <ul> <li>Lead advanced electrical and mechanical testing, maintenance, and commissioning on power system equipment </li><li>Perform and oversee testing on transformers, circuit breakers, cables, CTs, relays, and protection systems </li><li>Diagnose complex field issues and deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions </li><li>Serve as a technical lead on jobs and mentor junior technicians </li><li>Work directly with clients, project managers, and internal teams </li><li>Travel regionally (Midwest & East) while working independently in the field </li></ul> <p>Qualification:</p> <ul> <li>6-10+ years of hands-on high, medium, and low voltage testing experience </li><li>Strong background in substation, power plant, or industrial power systems </li><li>Proven experience with transformer, breaker, relay, and cable testing </li><li>Ability to obtain NETA Level III or IV (or already certified) </li><li>Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills </li></ul> <p>Work Environment & Perks</p> <ul> <li>Field-based role covering the Midwest and East regions </li><li>Per diem at federal rates + company credit card for travel expenses </li><li>Company truck + fuel card or vehicle stipend option </li><li>Overtime opportunities and paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays) </li><li>401(k) and medical benefits through a major provider </li><li>Strong focus on safety, training, and long-term career growth </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomfield, KY.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
