<p>Join Our Team at Tallahassee State College</p> <p>Human Resources Grant Partner</p> <p>Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a full-time opening for the position of Human Resources Grant Partner - P10248 with Human Resources.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>The Human Resources Grant Partner provides professional Human Resources generalist support across a wide range of HR functions, with primary responsibility for all personnel actions related to the College's grant-funded workforce. The role serves as the central HR lead and primary point of contact for approximately 150 grant-funded positions, ensuring full compliance with grant requirements, institutional policies, and employment regulations.</p> <p>The Human Resources Consultant works collaboratively with HR functional leads (Recruitment, Benefits, Employee Relations, Payroll, and Classification), while independently managing the day-to-day HR processes unique to grant-funded employment, including recruitment, onboarding, contract administration, attendance and leave guidance, employee relations support, and Workday personnel actions.</p> <p>Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Serves as the Human Resources lead for all grant-funded positions, coordinating and managing the full employee lifecycle for grant personnel. Ensures that all hiring, onboarding, contract renewals, personnel actions, and employee support services align with grant provisions, sponsor requirements, College policies, and Workday processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages and coordinates all phases of recruitment and hiring for grant-funded positions, ensuring compliance with established hiring practices, grant guidelines, and College procedures. Coordinates job advertisements, supports hiring managers with interview development, prepares offer letters and grant-funded employment contracts, and processes hiring actions through Workday. Manages the creation, renewal, and tracking of all grant-funded employee contracts, ensuring timely execution and adherence to funding requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures compliance with grant-specific personnel requirements, including funding source documentation, position eligibility, contract limitations, and sponsor reporting needs. Maintains accurate employment records to support internal audits, grant monitoring, and external compliance reviews.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains records of Tuberculosis (TB) test results for grant-funded employees who are subject to this requirement. Issues annual reminders for upcoming test due dates in accordance with program guidelines. Maintains oversight of immigration document status and provides timely notifications to employees regarding upcoming expiration dates. Verifies and enters educational information into Workday. Monitors and resolves Tentative Non-Confirmations (TNC) in E-Verify promptly, ensure employees are notified of required actions and deadlines in accordance with federal guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides guidance to grant-funded employees regarding benefits enrollment, attendance, and leave policies. Serves as the first point of contact for routine benefits and leave-related questions, while coordinating with Benefits staff for complex retirement, insurance, disability, or other specialized matters. Ensures grant employees complete benefits tasks within required timelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures timely responses to internal and external inquiries via telephone, email, or in person concerning Workday and onboarding. Directs candidates to Workday for onboarding and assists hiring managers in using the Workday system for hiring. Assists with the completion of pre-employment background screenings (FDLE and AHCA) for all new and returning employees. Provides Level II fingerprinting for employees in grant-funded positions, in accordance with College policies and procedures, when required. Reviews the results of each background screening and brings any questionable or negative findings to the attention of the HR Director.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as the primary HR contact for employee relations and performance management matters involving grant-funded employees. Partners closely with the Employee Relations Manager to support investigations, resolve concerns, and ensure consistent application of policy. Prepares technical documentation and summary reports as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Who We're Looking For</p> <p>We're seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success.
