<p>Job Description</p> <p>Position: Purchasing Supervisor - Indirect & Subcontracting</p> <p>Location: Materials Management - World Headquarters - Easton, PA</p> <p>Reports To: Director of Materials Operations</p> <p>Scope</p> <p>The Purchasing Supervisor - Indirect & Subcontracting is responsible for the efficient procurement of indirect materials, services, and subcontracting operations in support of Victaulic's manufacturing and business objectives. The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Indirect and Subcontracting Buyers, and is accountable for their processes, development, and performance as well as the performance of their suppliers and subcontract partners. The Supervisor drives improvement by establishing and managing appropriate metrics, and by working collaboratively with Sourcing, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Logistics in support of shared goals. The Supervisor is also responsible for identifying, leading, and contributing to cross-functional process improvements both within Victaulic and with our suppliers and subcontract partners. The Supervisor supports global performance through collaboration and participation in projects with the Global Materials Manager and other Victaulic Supply Chain personnel globally.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Direct the daily activities and long-term process improvements of the Indirect and Subcontracting Buyers. Manage departmental operations and develop strategies to support Victaulic's service and operational objectives while adhering to costing and pricing established by the Sourcing team. Develop and maintain processes to achieve procurement objectives. This includes all data collection, verification, analysis, communication, implementation, ongoing measurement, and adjustments. Develop all documentation necessary for the administration and control of Purchasing Procedures and Guidelines used across our indirect and subcontracting categories. Manage tactical system data and documents - maintenance of system data (pricing, lead-time, order quantity parameters, and subcontract routings), purchase order release, and follow-up. Manage tactical supplier and subcontractor issues - support Buyers in all expediting and problem or dispute resolution. Assist in achieving favorable outcomes, resolving all issues at the tactical level whenever possible. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers, key suppliers, and subcontract partners. Develop and publish periodic metrics to communicate performance and identify corrective actions necessary. Establish goals and implement strategies to achieve measurable progress related to supplier performance, subcontracting efficiency, process improvements, and personnel development. Interface with Operations, Quality, Sourcing, Finance, Logistics, and Engineering to resolve issues and improve indirect and subcontracting processes. Coordinate with Sourcing, Engineering, and Operations to develop purchasing and subcontracting plans for new product introductions, engineering changes, capacity shifts, and other events which will affect supply or availability. Identify and lead process improvements. Assist global facilities to ensure consistent training and knowledge, and that best practices are followed across indirect and subcontracting procurement. Coach, mentor, and train direct reports and others in skills, performance improvement, and professional development. Complete or coordinate other related projects as assigned.</p> <p>KPIs and Performance Factors</p> <p>Procurement Compliance. Adherence to costing and pricing established by the Sourcing team. Accurate execution of purchase orders in alignment with negotiated contracts, approved suppliers, and Victaulic procurement policies. Subcontracting Performance. On-time delivery and quality compliance from subcontract partners. Expediting, issue resolution, and capacity management in support of production schedules. Supplier Performance. On-time PO delivery and service level compliance. Expediting and issue resolution with indirect and subcontract suppliers. Process Improvement. Implementation of innovative and effective procurement solutions. Identification and execution of improvements in processes that others consider optimized. Team Development. Documented training, performance improvement (KPIs), goals, and development plans for direct reports.</p> <p>Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Personal Attributes)</p> <p>Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain required. Minimum 2 years of managerial/leadership experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Procurement. Experience with indirect procurement and/or subcontracting operations preferred. In-depth knowledge of materials planning and ERP systems required (M3 preferred). Must be responsible, reliable, and self-motivated. Drive to improve all processes and performance is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability required. Good oral and written communication skills required. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management required. Evening and weekend communication with overseas team members occasionally required. Travel up to 10%.</p>
