<p>Entry Level Construction Inspector</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a diligent Construction Inspector who will be responsible for conducting various inspections on construction sites. The role involves testing soils, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel, and requires the use of a nuclear gauge and tablet for documentation purposes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring that every day brings new challenges.</p> <p>will be reimbursed for mileage</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct inspections on construction sites for various materials such as soils, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel. </li><li>Utilize a nuclear gauge for testing purposes and document results using a tablet. </li><li>Perform tests and carry buckets for testing purposes. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in construction inspection and materials testing. </li><li>Concrete testing skills. </li><li>Certification in ACI and NICET - not necessary but nice to have. </li><li>Ability to operate a nuclear gauge. </li><li>Strong verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Willingness to learn and adapt to new environments. </li><li>Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. </li><li>Map reading and basic math skills are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment involves providing testing for construction materials at various sites, with a standard 40-hour work week. Some night shifts may be required, and there are opportunities for overtime as the weather gets warmer. The typical hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The dress code includes work boots, jeans, and button-up shirts. The role involves very independent work, with daily travel to different sites.
