<p>From the Reef to the Stage! Musical Camp Teachers (Grades 6-9)</p> <p>Calling all creative educators with a passion for musical theater!</p> <p>SWL is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Musical Camp Teachers to join our team this summer! If you love sparking curiosity and helping young minds explore the exciting world of musical theater, then we want you on board!</p> <p>About Musical Camp:</p> <p>Musical Camp is dynamic and engaging summer program designed to introduce students entering grades 6-9 to the exciting world of musical theater! Our camp fosters creativity, builds confidence, and develops performance skills in a fun and supportive environment. This summer, our campers will dive into the beloved underwater world of "Finding Nemo Kids," culminating in a full-scale performance for family and friends. We are committed to providing a high-quality theater experience for all participants, regardless of their prior experience.</p> <p>Responsibilities of a Musical Camp Teacher:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and instruct students in vocal technique, acting, and basic choreography related to Finding Nemo Kids</p> </li><li> <p>Create a positive and encouraging classroom environment where all students feel supported and empowered to participate</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the camp's curriculum and performance goals</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching camp experience</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee rehearsals, providing constructive feedback and guidance to students</p> </li><li> <p>Manage costumes, props, and set pieces related to the production</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and camp updates</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers during camp hours.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend all camp staff meetings and training sessions</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise students during breaks, lunch, and other non-instructional times</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure a seamless program experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working with adolescent students in a theater setting</p> </li><li> <p>Strong background in musical theater, including vocal performance, acting, and choreography</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of Finding Nemo Kids is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans</p> </li><li> <p>Enthusiasm for working with young people and fostering their creativity</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team</p> </li><li> <p>Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Camp Dates/Times:</p> <ul> <li> <p>June 16th - 20th</p> </li><li> <p>9:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily, with a performance on June 20 (time TBA)</p> </li></ul> <p>Pay:</p> <ul> <li>Up to $1,000 </li></ul>
