Our clients generally include Local, State, and Federal government agencies.</p> <p>This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment to grow and lead a multi-disciplinary transportation planning team.</p> <p>Your Key Responsibilities Business Development</p> <ul> <li>Lead business development efforts, including market research. </li><li>Develop, maintain and strengthen client relationships while playing a key role in client management and satisfaction, developing leads, and securing contracts to support utilization goals for the team and your group. </li><li>Work with BC Leadership to identify priorities and strategic opportunities in geographic markets. </li><li>Actively contribute to thought leadership, win strategies, key pursuits and successful project execution. </li><li>Champion project pursuits through initiating and developing client relationships, shaping teams to innovatively meet project needs, writing compelling proposals, and developing fees. </li><li>Contribute to management of the Urban Mobility team's Marketing and Business Development Spend focusing on pursuing projects and clients with a higher percentage of win rates. </li><li>Contribute to Strategic Pursuit of Top 20 Project Opportunities </li><li>Work with other teams within and outside of the BC to promote work sharing and other collaborative efforts to help integrate employees into a variety of opportunities within the BC and overall Stantec. </li></ul> <p>Staff Development</p> <ul> <li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff and promote inter-office collaboration including being directly present in the office at least 3 days of each work week. </li><li>Support the group's overall talent management lifecycle including career development, employee engagement, succession planning, coaching and mentoring, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development. </li><li>Help to communicate and advance the Team's vision, business strategy and strategic plan. </li><li>Support the Urban Mobility Team Leader(s) with managing performance and compensation in accordance with Stantec's compensation philosophy through quarterly and yearly employee performance review (YEPR), rate review, and STIP/bonus allocation. </li><li>Establish employee connectedness within the group by interfacing frequently with employees. </li><li>Encourage participation in ERGs, DPG and other activities to support a healthy office culture. </li><li>Uphold a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity, and focuses on the customer and service delivery. </li><li>Support health and safety performance of group members, including the monitoring of leading and lagging indicators, and meeting leading indicator goals. </li></ul> <p>Project Development/Technical Operations</p> <ul> <li>You will prepare and manage a comprehensive and diverse range of urban mobility and transportation projects from preliminary scoping through final design. </li><li>You will provide technical expertise related to corridor projects and plans, roadway and multimodal design integrating pedestrian, bikeway, transit, vehicular elements, and bridge. </li><li>You will provide Plans, schedules, and conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of projects for the team. </li><li>You will supervise, coordinate and review the work of other professionals who assist in specific assignments. </li><li>You will work closely with civil engineers, traffic engineers, urban planners, and developers on plans for projects. </li><li>You will oversee relationships with clients, agencies and others to be aware of project requirements. </li><li>You will recognize when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions. </li><li>You will review and manage your own work for accuracy and coordinate with others to ensure QA/QC of deliverables. </li><li>You will perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Your Capabilities and Credentials- Highly effective in assisting and leading teams on complex projects.</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates ability to readily identify potential challenges/issues on a project. </li><li>Efficient project management of multiple concurrent projects. </li><li>Highly effective in building and maintaining client relationships. </li><li>Ability to craft compelling proposals, including strategic fee proposals. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience- Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 7 years' experience in the field of transportation planning or engineering. </li></ul> <p>You will work in an open-concept office setting.
