<p>Legal Secretary</p> <p>Our client is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a temporary position (W2 Only) in Albany, NY</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. If interested in exploring this great opportunity, please apply directly at www.datrose.com/careers.</p> <p>Veterans are encouraged to apply.</p> <p>Position Details:</p> <p>Duration: 2 years</p> <p>Hours: M-F 9-5</p> <p>Pay rate: $22-$27/hour, depending on experience</p> <p>What to Expect:</p> <p>JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include:</p> <ul> <li>Participating in the investigation of administrative complaints and developing an investigation plan for cases involving violations of State Education Law 6530 </li><li>Obtaining, reviewing, tracking, and documenting all necessary investigative materials and </li></ul> <p>activities in relevant databases and software applications</p> <ul> <li>Preparing an investigative summary report for all investigations </li><li>Coordinating, researching, preparing, and proofreading responses for review and approval </li></ul> <p>related to Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests</p> <ul> <li>Coordinating, researching, preparing, and proofreading Executive Correspondence Unit (ECU) </li></ul> <p>inquiries received from the Governor's or Commissioner's Offices</p> <ul> <li>Coordinating and following up on the provision of all subpoenas needing to be requested or </li></ul> <p>responded to by gathering all relevant materials, conducting any necessary research, preparing</p> <p>all documentation, and communicating where necessary with external stakeholders, or the</p> <p>Board for Professional Medical Conduct or Division of Legal Affairs for review and approval</p> <ul> <li>Presenting investigations before an Investigations Committee of the Board for Professional </li></ul> <p>Medical Conduct</p> <ul> <li>Conducting in-person and telephone interviews of complainants, witnesses, and subjects of </li></ul> <p>investigation</p> <ul> <li>Telephone communication to/from licensees, attorneys, complainants, facilities, or other </li></ul> <p>external stakeholders</p> <ul> <li>Drafting and proofreading correspondence to subjects, witnesses, complainants, facilities, or </li></ul> <p>other external stakeholders related to a complaint or investigation</p> <ul> <li>Coordinating, tracking, and responding to inquiries made through the relevant Bureau Mail Log </li></ul> <p>(BML)</p> <ul> <li>Preparing, tracking, disseminating outgoing and incoming mail </li><li>Maintaining and coordinating the scheduling of meetings or other conferences, as well as </li></ul> <p>assisting with technological needs during meetings and conferences 4</p> <ul> <li>Scanning of various documents such as medical records, quality assurance files, and others to </li></ul> <p>be saved in electronic format, place them in proper files, and distribute them to appropriate staff.</p> <ul> <li>Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in legal terminology or investigative techniques </li><li>Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite programs including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint </li><li>Proficiency in web-based applications and databases </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication </li><li>Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, maintain organized files, and meet deadlines </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with the professional medical conduct process </li><li>Experience with Sharepoint </li></ul> <p>Datrose is an equal opportunity employer.
