<p>Your role</p> <p>Are you interested in making an impact in the fast-paced world of foreign exchange? Find out how you can make an impact.</p> <p>You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of foreign exchange & money market transactions. In this role, you will support the business, manage post-trade processes, mitigate operational risk, and adhere to control frameworks while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li>Trade Settlement & Confirmation </li></ol> <ul> <li>Ensure accurate and timely settlement of FX (spot, forward, swap, NDF, options) and MM transactions. </li><li>Perform trade validation </li><li>Manage confirmation processes-including paper, SWIFT, and electronic confirmations (e.g., FXAll, Mysis, GTSS) </li><li>Resolve trade breaks and unmatched confirmations promptly. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Intraday Payment Processing </li></ol> <ul> <li>Generate and release settlement payments (MT103/202) through the payment platforms. </li><li>Monitor incoming/outgoing cash flows to ensure settlement obligations are met on value date. </li><li>Coordinate with Reconciliation teams to investigate and resolve cash breaks. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Business & Stakeholder Interaction </li></ol> <ul> <li>Liaise closely with front office, middle office, and clients regarding settlement queries. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams (Credit, Onboarding, Trade Capture) to resolve counterparty issues. </li><li>Communicate proactively with counterparties, custodians, and settlement banks ensuring efficient processing. </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Risk & Controls </li></ol> <ul> <li>Identify, escalate, and mitigate settlement risk, operational risk, and market cut off risk. </li><li>Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements related to reporting, confirmations, and recordkeeping. </li><li>Regular preparation of risk reports. </li></ul> <ol start="5"> <li>Exception Management </li></ol> <ul> <li>Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, fails, and breaks. </li><li>Track and report settlement fails; identify root causes and drive long term resolutions. </li><li>Manage CLS (Continuous Linked Settlement) trade submission, matching, and dispute resolution where applicable. </li></ul> <ol start="6"> <li>Process Improvement & Technology </li></ol> <ul> <li>Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency within settlement workflows. </li><li>Participate in system upgrades, UAT testing, and new product or market rollouts. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and market cut offs. </li><li>Strong problem solving and analytical abilities. </li><li>Team oriented. </li></ul> <p>Join us</p> <p>At UBS, we know that it's our people, with their diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds, who drive our ongoing success. Because together, we're more than ourselves.</p> <p>We're committed to disability inclusion and if you need reasonable accommodation/adjustments throughout our recruitment process, you can always contact us.</p> <p>Your expertise</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field. </li><li>ideally 3+ years in Operations, Settlements, Treasury, or Middle Office </li><li>Understanding of FX derivative and Money Market products and settlement processes </li><li>Experience with trade validation and confirmation methods (paper, SWIFT, and electronic platforms) </li><li>Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve trade breaks and unmatched confirmations promptly </li><li>Familiarity with payment platforms and MT103/202 settlement instructions </li><li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment </li><li>Strong communication skills to partner effectively across functions </li><li>Competency with Excel (pivot tables, filters, formulas). </li><li>Team player with willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. </li></ul> <p>About us</p> <p>UBS is a leading and truly global wealth manager and the leading universal bank in Switzerland.
