Guidance standards are</p> <p>delivered to the students through four delivery system components: Guidance Curriculum,</p> <p>Individual Student Planning, Responsive Services and System Support</p> <p>Key Functions:</p> <ol> <li>Provides developmental comprehensive guidance curriculum content in a systematic </li></ol> <p>way through classroom instruction, interdisciplinary curriculum, group activities, and</p> <p>parent workshops and instruction. Lessons are proactive, prevention based and data</p> <p>driven. Sample activities include:</p> <ul> <li>Study Skills </li><li>Transitions </li><li>Character Education </li><li>Goal Setting </li><li>Career Awareness </li><li>Social Skills </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Assists students and parents in the development of academic and career plans through </li></ol> <p>individual student planning by conducting individual or small group appraisal and</p> <p>advisement. Sample activities include:</p> <ul> <li>Attendance </li><li>Self-Advocacy </li><li>Academic Assessment and Planning </li><li>Career Exploration </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Addresses students' immediate needs through responsive services utilizing </li></ol> <p>consultation, individual and small group counseling, crisis counseling/response, referrals</p> <p>and peer facilitation.
