Fostering and maintaining these beliefs supports high expectations and an ethic of care for all students and employees - where differences are seen as strengths to be nourished, celebrated, and welcomed.POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Supervisor coordinates the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices to ensure that all students meet or exceed learning standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts staff observations and evaluations as assigned, and in accordance with District policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreementsFacilitates curriculum development, program evaluation, innovation, professional development, shared decision-making, and community of practice projects as assignedRepresents the Office of Curriculum and Instruction to each school, and the District to community and other organizations and agencies as assignedRemains abreast of current research and best practices in assigned program areas by attending professional meetings, reading professional journals and other publications, and discussing problems of mutual interest with others in the field, and provides briefings and summaries to District and school leadership in bulletins, meetings, and other contexts as necessaryServes all District staff as a master teacher and instructional coach in assigned program areas in both individual and group settingsCollects and analyzes data to inform the identification of problems of practice, to provide for meaningful goals-setting, and to serve continuous improvement and organizational learning effortsDevelops and maintains all appropriate records, reports, and filesCompletes and submits necessary local, state and federal reportsAssists the Office of Human Resources in the recruitment, screening, selection, and orientation of new staff membersAssists in preparing and presents reports and/or district research projects, and responds to written and oral requests for information, as assignedPerforms such other tasks as may be assigned by the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, or Designee (Director) POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:NYS SDA/SDL CertificationMinimum of five years teaching/administrative experienceDemonstrated successful district-wide leadership and innovation in: curriculum development, design and implementation; data-driven decision-making and program evaluation; staff development and evaluation.Demonstrated excellence in communication and problem-solvingStrong command of New York State Learning Standards K - 12 Experience designing and implementing professional development opportunities Versed in the standards for teaching and learning and leading in the digital age Demonstrated knowledge of NYS Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Frameworks Ability to analyze data to improve instructional practice and student learning outcomes Capable of implementing rigorous instructional strategies that set high expectations for teachers and all children including students with disabilities and English Language LearnersSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent in consultation with the Board may find appropriate and acceptable REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction or Designee (Director) Ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.</p> <p>Application Type Name:</p> <p>School Leader</p> <p>District Name:</p> <p>Mamaroneck U.F.S.D.</p> <p>Region Name:</p> <p>Lower Hudson Valley</p> <p>Salary Type:</p> <p>Annual wage</p> <p>Salary Category:</p> <p>Range per contract</p>
