<p>Essex Industries is a multi-site aerospace and defense manufacturer serving military and commercial customers worldwide. The Warehouse & Inventory Control Specialist supports daily warehouse operations within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring material traceability, and supporting production through timely and accurate material transactions.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Inventory Control & ERP Management</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate inventory records and material transactions within the ERP system. </li><li>Monitor inventory levels to support upcoming production assemblies and prevent shortages. </li><li>Perform routine cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy. </li><li>Investigate and resolve inventory variances in coordination with Production, Quality, and Purchasing. </li><li>Analyze daily product demand and material availability to anticipate supply risks. </li></ul> <p>Production Support & Material Kitting</p> <ul> <li>Kit work orders in accordance with production schedules and engineering requirements. </li><li>Verify part numbers, revisions, quantities, and lot traceability prior to release to production. </li><li>Deliver materials to designated production areas in alignment with manufacturing priorities. </li><li>Ensure compliance with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and lot control requirements. </li></ul> <p>Receiving & Stockroom Operations</p> <ul> <li>Receive, inspect, unpack, and properly store incoming materials and components. </li><li>Verify documentation, certifications, and part numbers to ensure compliance with aerospace traceability requirements. </li><li>Label and organize materials to maintain clear identification and segregation of conforming and nonconforming product. </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready stockroom environment. </li></ul> <p>Shelf-Life & Compliance Management</p> <ul> <li>Monitor materials with finite shelf life and ensure proper rotation and usage. </li><li>Notify Purchasing and Production of materials approaching expiration to prevent production disruption. </li><li>Ensure hazardous materials are stored, labeled, and handled in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company safety policies. </li><li>Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation and traceability records. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration & Continuous Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or process gaps to appropriate departments in a timely manner. </li><li>Participate in inventory improvement initiatives and stock assessments. </li><li>Assist other departments as needed to support overall production and delivery goals. </li></ul> <p>Required Education & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred). </li><li>Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory transaction processing. </li><li>Understanding of material traceability, lot control, and regulated manufacturing practices. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. </li><li>Ability to operate a forklift or other material-handling equipment (training provided). </li></ul> <p>Why Choose Essex:</p> <ul> <li>Base Pay and Overtime Pay Eligible </li><li>Bonus Opportunity </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>10 company holidays </li><li>Training & Development </li><li>Retirement Benefits - 401k matching </li><li>Tax-Advantaged Accounts </li><li>Medical, dental, vision coverage </li><li>Flexible Spending Account </li><li>Life Insurance </li><li>Parental Leave </li><li>Pet Insurance </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li></ul>
