We hope you'll consider joining us and see where a career with us can lead you.</p> <p>Location: This job is based out of our Operations Center at 401 Innovation Drive, North Clarendon, VT 05759.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li></li><li>Perform preventative and corrective maintenance as necessary on material handling equipment, conveyors and building mechanical systems and/or equipment. </li><li>Be alert to possible safety and fire hazards, notifying appropriate VCS Management and contractors when necessary. </li><li>Become familiar with and help maintain building emergency systems, plumbing, electrical, fire, air compressors, security, sprinkler and safety equipment. </li><li>Partner with Team Leader to schedule and perform weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance work. </li><li>Support the Maintenance needs of all VCS buildings as necessary. </li><li>Knowledgeable in all areas of construction and finish-work including carpentry/framing, plumbing and painting. </li><li>Support DC staff and Management with any mechanical or technical support in a safe and timely fashion. </li><li>Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, and/or seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions. </li><li>Transportation of merchandise, equipment and mail/documents to and from all company facilities and outside entities. Facilitate delivery of donated items to local organizations as needed. </li><li>Review orders prior to delivery, load and unload truck. </li><li>Conduct daily visual inspections and periodic preventive maintenance checks on company vehicle and is responsible for the safe operation of that vehicle. </li><li>Follow established health and safety policies and procedures; specifically adhere to Motor Vehicle Operation policy. </li><li>Must be flexible with schedule and willing to adapt to business needs, including weekends and holiday hours on occasion. </li><li>Occasional after hours on-call maintenance response availability may be required. </li><li>Complete duties and responsibilities in compliance with company standards, policies, guidelines and values. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be self-motivated to accomplish high-quality and timely work. </li><li>Attention to detail, accuracy and follow through are essential </li><li>Demonstrate flexibility in acceptance of assignments and direction. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Valid Vermont Driver's License: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Motor Vehicle/background check. </li><li>Must be available to work a weekend day, holidays and overtime as business needs require. </li><li>Ability to read instructions/schematics and follow directions to accomplish various tasks as needed. </li><li>Ability to safely and properly use a variety of hand and power tools. </li><li>Able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. </li><li>Ability to safely operate equipment such as powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks, metal carts, etc. </li><li>Solid mathematical, logic and analytical skills </li><li>Ability to give regular communications in person, writing, by email and by phone. </li><li>Positive, team-oriented attitude and manner </li><li>Ability to prioritize and work in multi-discipline environment </li><li>Ability to travel as needed </li><li>Ability to interact with vendors and internal staff with a high level of professionalism </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>All offers of employment are subject to a completion of a Physical Fitness for Duty test.
