<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The College of Social Sciences and Humanities at Southeastern University announces an opening for a core Ph.D. faculty member in our MS in Counseling Program. This individual will play a key role in developing our premier online program. Previous teaching and curriculum development experience is required. Online teaching experience preferred. The candidate will be expected to help build a program toward CACREP standards, participate in the recruitment and advisement of students, serve on departmental and university committees, contribute to assessment efforts, and advise student organizations. Candidates must be committed to the Christian mission of Southeastern University and excellence in Counseling education. The candidate will report to the director of the Counseling Program and work collaboratively to further the school's mission.</p> <p>Rank will be assigned based on candidate qualifications.</p> <p>Starting Date: The appointment carries a full-time, one year contract from August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026.</p> <p>Responsibilities will include:</p> <p>? Teaching online and face-to-face during residential intensives</p> <p>? Developing counseling curriculum and syllabi</p> <p>? Assisting in The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accreditation process including program assessment</p> <p>? Recruiting and advising graduate students for the program</p> <p>? Demonstrating a commitment to community and university service</p> <p>? Serving on university and department committees as assigned</p> <p>? Maintaining a full-time faculty teaching load (15 credit hours/semester), with release time given for program and departmental service</p> <p>? Integrating a Christian worldview throughout the curriculum</p> <p>ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS</p> <p>Reports to: Dean, College of Social Sciences and Humanities and Department Chair</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibility: May supervise some graduate assistants, teaching assistants or other student employees.</p> <p>All remaining duties are considered "nonessential" within the context of the ADA, which means that the function could be reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position. Alternatively, the manager could try to provide a reasonable accommodation so that the disabled individual could perform the function.</p> <p>LOCATION:</p> <p>Remote</p>
