<p>Royal Truck & Equipment is looking for a full-time Assembly Technician with hydraulic and electrical background to join our team! Our company has been a leader in the traffic safety industry for more than two decades, with a focus on building crash attenuator trucks (TMA trucks) that are used in highway construction to protect crews in work zones.</p> <p>The employee will be responsible for assembly and installation of components on TMA (truck mounted attenuator) trucks.</p> <p>Work duties for this position include installing various components onto different types of chassis which include Class 5 trucks and pickup trucks. Skills also include some hydraulic system hook up and electrical component assembly. The job includes climbing and lifting components to assembly.</p> <p>The employee will be expected to read work instructions (typically line items without detailed working instructions) and complete tasks in required time as documented on each document. The employee is required to meet all quality standards that specific to certain tasks.</p> <ul> <li>Install components as required by each workstation such as harnesses, lights, cameras, etc </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot any electrical issues that may be incurred during the assembly process </li><li>Cross train in workstations as required. </li><li>Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. </li><li>Fill out any required documentation to support each process. </li><li>Lifting and climbing as required to perform tasks. </li><li>Have basic tools to perform assembly tasks. </li><li>Communicate respectfully with supervisors and fellow employees </li><li>Read and comprehend blueprints and tape measure </li><li>Requires various visual processing (i.e. near, far, depth, color) </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Ability</p> <ul> <li>Common knowledge and use of basic hand tools. </li><li>Strong electrical skills for 12V systems </li><li>Strong assembly and upfitting skills </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment </li><li>Must be able to read prints, instructions </li><li>Above average mechanical aptitude </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Hands-on attitude and ability </li><li>The ability to meet deadlines </li><li>Able to wear personal protective equipment </li><li>Able to work overtime and/or including weekends as production schedules dictate </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to push and/or pull up to 40lbs </li><li>Standing frequently, walking, crouching, kneeling, fine manipulation with hand </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED preferred. </li><li>Minimum Two (2) years of upfitting/vehicle assembly experience or related experience </li><li>Additional experience with some electrical is preferred </li></ul>
