<p>The Outpatient Hematology Oncology Registered Nurse provides services to oncology patients and their families at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. Members of the Hematology Oncology team demonstrate proficiency in practice managing complex client situations. Hematology Oncology Nurses administers medications and procedures per policies and guidelines, and influences outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.</p> <p>The Outpatient Hematology Oncology Registered Nurse exhibits a competent understanding, showcasing proficiency in delivering both direct and indirect nursing care to oncology patients and their families. The Nurse will complete physiological assessments, completes documentation in electronic health record, in accordance to policies and procedures, wound care, care coordination and triages patients. Hematology Oncology Nurse provides a safe working environment while administering, handling, and disposing of antineoplastic drugs and medical waste.
