Unlock your potential!</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>Provide Enterprise data networking services and support in a fortune 100 company environment with national reach. (Add info about following documented standards, managing workload, customer service)</p> <p>This position will interact daily with the Availability Center, Customer Support, Business Partners, Vendors, IT&S personnel, as well as the end users on developing network solutions to meet business requirements. Project management and problem management skills are required to effectively meet business objectives and Service Level Agreements.</p> <p>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;</p> <ul> <li>Deploy and maintain complex nation-wide, enterprise WAN/LAN solutions, utilizing best practice switching/routing technologies and topologies. (ie: Fortune 100 experience in network design, deployment and support) </li><li>Understanding of OSI model </li><li>Layer 1 technologies including fiber optic cabling, copper cabling, patch panels, and connector types </li><li>Layer 2 technologies including VTP, ISL and 802.1Q trunking, spanning-tree, VLANs </li><li>Implement adds/moves/changes for facility switches and routers </li><li>BGP/OSPF administration </li><li>Software/hardware device upgrades, LAN equipment configurations/provisioning (see specific technologies within Area of Experience section). </li><li>IP addressing, variable length subnet masking </li><li>Wide Area Network technology provisioning and configuration (i.e. MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay) and WAN equipment configurations for bandwidth rates from sub-rate T1 to 10Gb, as well as Metro-E connectivity from 10Mb to 10Gb </li><li>Administration for network security technologies and products (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Juniper SSL and Citrix NetScaler) </li><li>Remote access technologies (i.e. SSL-VPN, IPSec, B2B, private line). </li><li>Administration of F5 BigIP load-balancing </li><li>Enterprise WLAN administration </li><li>Following network standards and policies/procedural documentation and enterprise level network diagramming </li><li>Certification, Proof of Concept, and/or integration testing. </li><li>Working with Senior Engineers on product design implementations and troubleshooting </li><li>Meet IT&S change management and project management requirements </li><li>ITIL Knowledge application </li><li>Minimal travel for network analysis, network upgrades and customer network consultations </li><li>Act as a technical resource for projects, ensuring work is being completed accurately and on-time </li></ul> <p>Qualified candidates must have 1-3 years of relevant experience</p> <p>AREA OF EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Cisco Data Networking Technologies</p> <p>Layer 1-2 (ie: Trunking, VLANs, STP, Multicast, PPP, Frame/Relay, ATM, MPLS, Metro-E)</p> <p>Layer 3 (ie: OSPF, BGP, Cisco VRFs, QOS, ACLs, Route redistribution, MPLS-VPNs, etc.)</p> <p>Network Management Tools (ie: CiscoWorks, Voyence, IP-SLA, Netflow, SMNP, logging, etc.)</p> <p>Network Security (ie: ACLs, Route-maps, IOS Firewall, ASA, routing protocol authentication, etc.)</p> <p>Troubleshooting LAN/WAN/Security issues.</p> <p>IP management standards.</p> <p>Network Services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.)</p> <p>CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED</p> <p>CCNA or CCDA or equivalent experience required</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <p>Associates Degree in IT related or 2+ years in network engineering role</p> <p>SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Must be able to excel in a very close working team environment.</p> <p>Must be able to function autonomously, when needed.</p> <p>High degree of initiative and self-motivation.</p> <p>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <p>Must be able to lift network components to build, rack and configure the devices.</p> <p>Some after-hours work will be required occasionally.</p> <p>Possible prolonged sitting at workstation.</p> <p>HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the Worlds Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
