<p>Job Title: Survey ManagerJob Description</p> <p>As a Survey Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of land development and infrastructure projects by leading both office-based and field survey operations. You will oversee diverse types of surveys including Boundary, Topography, ALTA/NSPS, Construction Staking, Bathymetric, Drone, and 3D Scanning. This position requires you to plan, coordinate, and manage survey projects to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. You will also communicate with coworkers and clients to understand their overall needs, provide updates, and deliver high-quality service.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and manage diverse survey projects such as Boundary, Topography, ALTA/NSPS, Construction Staking, Bathymetric, Drone, and 3D Scanning. </li><li>Plan, coordinate, and ensure the successful completion of survey projects within set timelines and budgets. </li><li>Communicate effectively with coworkers and clients to understand project needs, provide updates, and ensure high-quality service delivery. </li><li>Complete Health and Safety Plans (HASP) prior to field crew performing site work. </li><li>Prepare, review, and interpret legal documents including deeds, plats, and easements. </li><li>Ensure all survey activities comply with state and local regulations and standards, upholding ethical and professional standards. </li><li>Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to collect and analyze data, ensuring precision and accuracy. </li><li>Stay informed on the latest technology advancements, regulations, and emerging technologies in land surveying. </li><li>Mentor and train junior surveyors and technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of diverse surveying methods. </li><li>Proficiency in project management and land surveying. </li><li>Experience with topographic surveys, permitting, and scheduling. </li><li>Expertise in using surveying tools such as Total Stations and AutoCAD. </li><li>Ability to prepare, review, and interpret legal documents related to surveying. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Tech-forward thinking and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. </li><li>Experience in mentoring and helping emerging talent grow within the survey team. </li><li>Ability to uphold high professional standards for yourself and the team. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>You will work in a smaller office environment with around 8 people in the office and 20 in the field. The role is mostly office-based, but you might have to visit a site once a week or so. The office offers a flexible work arrangement with 3 days remote and 4 after a year of employment, providing a balance between office and remote work.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Poolesville, MD.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.</p> <p>New ownership winning tons of work.
