This role is responsible for driving and managing an integrated view of the enterprise portfolio and multi-year roadmap, to successfully deliver on Ulta Beauty's strategic and financial objectives, working in partnership with the broader Enterprise Transformation Office, and cross-functional leaders across the organization. This role works very closely with the Sr Director, Transformation Integration and Portfolio Delivery to also lead the Annual Business Planning (ABP) process for the enterprise in partnership with Strategy, Finance and several other cross-functional teams. Lastly, this role also drives the governance of how the Transformation Office will work across the organization in support of continual prioritization of the enterprise's most significant investments.</p> <p>This is a leadership role that will manage a high-performing team of 3 team members at various levels. It is imperative for this role to work with Enterprise Transformation leadership closely, in addition to leaders across the enterprise. This is a high-visibility role, and the ability to clearly community complexity, and influence leaders is paramount.</p> <p>This role will partner closely with other competencies within the Transformation Office including Value Realization, Portfolio Delivery (New and Core), and Cost Transformation. This individual should be comfortable in building and managing enterprise processes with senior leaders, demonstrating accountability for results, and managing through ambiguity.</p> <ul> <li>Lead the Enterprise Portfolio Management team within the Enterprise Transformation Office working closely with the Senior Director, Transformation Integration and Portfolio Delivery, including evolving the vision, leading a high performing team and creating the operating model (standards, processes, governance) and ongoing enterprise approach. </li><li>Work in partnership with Enterprise Transformation leadership to develop, execute and track an integrated 'roadmap' of enterprise initiatives to achieve strategic and annual plans. </li><li>Architect the way of working for the Enterprise Portfolio Management team across the enterprise, leading and facilitating decision-making sessions with senior leaders and teams across the organization. </li><li>Drive, lead and facilitate ongoing prioritization across Ulta Beauty's portfolio initiatives, working across the organization, providing transparency to ensure that the right projects are moving forward and are held accountable to deliver business value. </li><li>Understand and uncover dependencies that require close management across the multi-year roadmap of initiatives; work closely with functional leadership to actively manage and adjust in coincidence with the broader portfolio. </li><li>Engage with enterprise program initiatives and cross-functional leaders to integrate roadmaps, facilitate alignment conversations, and influence / support prioritization of the path forward on a continual basis. </li><li>Partner across all areas and levels of the enterprise to understand priorities, initiatives, status and measurement of key enterprise initiatives in the context of the broad enterprise portfolio. </li><li>Work closely with the other areas of the Enterprise Transformation Office -including Value Realization, Portfolio Delivery (New and Core), and Cost Transformation to establish, socialize and evangelize the new ways of working. </li><li>Understand and navigate prioritization within the boundaries of the organization - strategic, financial and operational - to ensure the portfolio is poised to support successful delivery of Ulta Beauty strategies and financial objectives. </li><li>Identify and manage critical interdependencies on an ongoing basis across the enterprise portfolio; determine, monitor, elevate and help to mitigate areas of risk. </li><li>Establish, measure and report metrics to track progress against objectives as it relates to the enterprise portfolio. </li><li>Provide timely communications to senior management and key stakeholders, escalating risks and issues proactively and transparently, with a data-driven mindset and approach. </li></ul> <p>THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred. </li><li>8+ years of experience in enterprise transformation or closely related fields. </li><li>Experience in strategic / management consulting strongly preferred; alternatively, equivalent position in a retail environment. </li><li>Demonstrated experience leading teams to strengthen and lead an Enterprise Portfolio Management team-equivalent within a Transformation Office. </li><li>Looked to as a trusted, capable leader able to drive a program independently, engaging leadership at the right level at the right time. </li><li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with comfortable financial and technology acumen. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, including ability to share ideas and information across diverse audiences to drive to business decisions. Ability to synthesize clearly and simplify the complex and communicate to senior leaders. </li><li>Highly collaborative with track record of effective cross-functional leadership and proven ability to influence at all levels, from working teams to senior leadership. </li><li>Enterprise thinker with ability to 'connect the dots'. </li><li>Bias for action and execution. </li><li>Excellent time management, planning, management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and make ongoing decisions with key stakeholder input. </li><li>High emotional intelligence/IQ and strong relationship management skills. </li><li>Highest level of integrity and good judgment. </li><li>Minimal travel required (<10% of time). </li></ul> <p>The pay range for this position is $143,000.00 - $200,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
