Supports the team by assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and educating the patient. Works in conjunction with the department manager to resolve issues, develop goals, train staff, mentor students and implements strategies for quality improvement for the department. The lead clinical dietitian partners with the patient care team to optimize patient care.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>A minimum of 2 years experience as a clinical dietitian in an acute care setting is required.</p> <p>EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition program is required. Completion of an ACEND approved internship or coordinated undergraduate program is required.</p> <p>SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Knowledge and ability to navigate electronic medical records (Epic) and nutrition software (CBord) a plus. Strong creative problem solving skills, thorough attention to detail, organization, and time management, multi-tasking and analytic skills required. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to take a logical approach to problem solving with the ability to work professionally and collaboratively in a team environment as well as able to work independently.</p> <p>LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is required.
