<p>Passaic County Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach History courses, which may include Western Civilization I and II and US History I and II.</p> <p>Example of Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Teach assigned classes in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi </li><li>Meet all scheduled class sessions </li><li>Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems </li><li>Participate in assessment activities in support of the PCCC institutional effectiveness program </li><li>Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College's student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties </li><li>Follow the following guidelines contained in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook (Link can be found on pccc.edu) </li></ul> <p>Qualification:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in History required </li><li>Experience in distant learning modalities preferred </li><li>Prior teaching experience required; College level teaching experience preferred. </li><li>Ability to work with a diverse student population. </li></ul> <p>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</p> <p>Compensation: The pay for this position is $929 per credit taught.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Employee Assistance Program provides free, confidential, limited counseling services, work-life assistance, legal and financial guidance. </li><li>Commuter Benefits: Free parking access is provided on site.
