Are you ready to go beyond?</p> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <p>The Aero Thermal Fluids (ATF) organization is responsible for the functional aerodynamic design, analysis and performance of Pratt & Whitney commercial and military product lines.</p> <p>Aero Propulsion Systems (APS) organization is a part of ATF, consisting of Exhaust Systems (Augmentor and Nozzle), Acoustics & Aeromechanics, and Nacelle groups.</p> <p>APS is seeking a candidate with advanced technical skills and proficiency in the development and application of high-fidelity modeling (Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD) of complex aerodynamic systems, flow fields, fluid/structure interaction (aeromechanics), and the ability to assess engine system level impact. We are seeking motivated individuals with strong technical, problem solving, communication and leadership skills to join our team and be part of continuing Pratt & Whitney's industry leadership in current and next generation military propulsion systems.</p> <ul> <li>Lead a team leveraging aerodynamics/aeromechanics fundamentals and experience to influence the aero design of engine components, identify potential issues, and drive resolutions in coordination with interdisciplinary working teams. </li><li>Develop/improve high-fidelity models/codes and process along with strategic planning and execution to ensure analysis capability excellence </li><li>Contribute to product design and technology advancement by performing all aspects of high-fidelity modeling workflow, including analysis execution and interpretation / effective communication of results. </li><li>Typical tasks include conceptual design studies, product development, rig and engine testing, technology development, and root cause investigations. Additional responsibilities may include proposal development and technology planning. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications You Must Have:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related technical field and Minimum 8+ years of gas turbine/aerospace experience or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5+ years of experience. </li><li>The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. </li><li>U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. </li><li>10% Travel </li></ul> <p>Qualifications We Prefer:</p> <ul> <li>Active US DoD security clearance SECRET or higher </li><li>Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field </li><li>Demonstrated technical excellence in fluid dynamics or aeromechanics </li><li>Strong numerical methods background, with GPU accelerated CFD proficiency </li><li>Reacting CFD proficiency with good combustion fundamentals background </li><li>Experience with CFD-based aeromechanical analysis </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Relocation</p> </li><li> <p>Benefits</p> </li></ul> <p>What is my role type?</p> <p>In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.</p> <p>Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.</p> <p>The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.</p> <p>Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.</p> <p>Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.</p> <p>This role is a U.S.-based role.
