<p>Job Description</p> <p>Description</p> <p>SAIC is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer for shipboard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) major systems. This program is a part of a transformative venture, driving the future of next generation afloat mission effectiveness in response to evolving strategic and environmental demands.</p> <p>Work is performed on site in Pascagoula, MS.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Perform comprehensive review of integrated C5ISR systems design drawings to support readiness for Critical Design Review for a new ship construction. </li><li>Review for contractual compliance and redline engineering documents such as block diagrams, electrical wiring diagrams, interface design documents, installation control documents, and function interface diagrams. </li><li>Assess C5ISR hardware configurations (eg, cabinets/trays/fixtures/sway braces/cables/connectors) and perform engineering analysis for contractual and MIL-D-23140 D (Installation Control Drawings) compliance. </li></ul> <p>Please view our program page for more information and to view all open positions available: https://jobs.saic.com/pages/shipyardc5isr-careers</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and Nine (9) years or more relevant experience with one or more shipboard C5ISR systems listed below *. Masters and Seven (7) years or more related experience. BS degree maybe offset with additional (4) years relevant experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Active Secret clearance.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Autocad or similar.</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant C3ISR, C4ISR, C5ISR, and/or C6ISR Shipboard Systems:</p> </li><li> <p>Integrated Bridge System.</p> </li><li> <p>Gyrocompass (e.g., WSN-7).</p> </li><li> <p>Surface Search Radars (e.g., AN/SPY-6, SPS-series).</p> </li><li> <p>UHF, HF, VHF Marine Radios.</p> </li><li> <p>Shipboard Communication Cabinets.</p> </li><li> <p>Shipboard Alarms and Interior Communications (Safety, Warning Systems).</p> </li><li> <p>Fathometer and Depth Sounding Systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Global Positioning Systems (GPS).</p> </li><li> <p>Sonar Mission System (SMS).</p> </li><li> <p>Extremely High Frequency (EHF) Communications.</p> </li><li> <p>NIPRNET, SIPRNET, SI LAN.</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Quals & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience providing support for a shipyard environment project. </li><li>Experience with shipboard cableways, cables and connectors including fiber, coaxial, cat5, and twisted pairs. </li><li>Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IAT level I. </li><li>Prior experience working in a Firm Fixed Price environment. </li></ul> <p>Overview</p> <p>SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.</p> <p>SAIC is a premier Fortune 500 mission integrator focused on advancing the power of technology and innovation to serve and protect our world.
