<p>The Dayton Regional STEM School (DRSS) seeks an individual to serve as the School Psychologist to begin during the 2025-2026 school year. Contract days will be 210 per year. Major roles and responsibilities will include consulting with school district staff to evaluate the service needs of students. This will include working one on one with students, diagnosing mental health conditions and providing treatments, and working with families to meet student's individual mental and emotional health needs.</p> <p>This postion is STRS eligible.</p> <p>70% Testing, gathering information, observations, meeting with teachers</p> <ul> <li>Consults with school district staff to evaluate service needs of students. </li><li>Provides psycho-educational testing and assessments. </li><li>Provides consultation services that promote student's mental health and facilitates student learning </li><li>Administers diagnostic tests and interprets results </li><li>Observes students in classroom setting and records observations </li><li>Obtains informed written consent of parents/guardians before assessment and/or providing services </li></ul> <p>20% Writing reports</p> <ul> <li>Interprets testing results </li><li>Helps formulate and guide the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and 504 Plans for students </li><li>Shares knowledge and resources that enhance student learning </li></ul> <p>10% Participate in various meetings (including IEPs, 504 Plans, conferences, etc.) and Professional Development opportunities</p> <ul> <li>Participates in staff meetings and professional growth opportunities as directed. </li><li>Performs other specific job-related duties as directed. </li></ul> <p>To be considered for the position, please apply on Wright State University's website: https://jobs.wright.edu/postings/20359</p> <p>Wright State University is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
