If youre passionate about this we want to hear from you About the Role MWH is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Commissioning & Startup Engineer to support project work This position will be site based in San Francisco California however future projects may require relocation or significant travel As part of the Commissioning and Startup team this position will assist in the commissioning and startup of a wastewater treatment plant and future municipal projects which will allow the company to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts This position will report directly to the Commissioning Manager Essential Functions Assist in the development and execution of commissioning and startup plansAssist in the development of written procedures for testing cleaning and initial startup of major plant equipment and systemsAssist with clientvendorsubcontractor coordination for the startup of completed systems Provide training program and materials for process plant equipmentAdapt to changing technologies and learn functionality of new equipment and systemsAssist in resource planning at project levelAssist with documentation of the commissioning process including commissioning data and as built documentation input to O&Ms and feedback to the design disciplinesCommunicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writingEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of workRecognize the importance of satisfying the customer as the key to achieving other objectivesParticipate in the acquisition and storing of business and technical knowledge and the use of those stored intellectual assetsMaintain Health and Safety levels during the commissioning Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Construction Technology Business Administration Science or other similar field of study2 3 years experience in commissioning & start up and plant operationsExperience in the waterwastewater industry or applicable industrial construction responsibilitiesPreference will be given to candidates with operations and maintenance andor commissioning and startup backgroundFamiliar with asset management programs ie Maximo for vertical assetsProficient in interpreting and understand technical manuals drawings blueprints schematics and diagramsUnderstanding of methods and techniques of maintaining and repairing waterwastewater plant equipment machinery and related facilitiesExperience with operations and maintenance programs at water or wastewater facilitiesUnderstanding of occupational hazards and standard safety practicesProficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office specifically Microsoft Word and ExcelProficient with use of
