<p>Summer High School Career Academy Teachers for AI Program - 2025 (Grant Funded)</p> <p>Positions:</p> <p>High School Teacher(s)</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Certification to match role, DESE Licensed </li><li>Citizenship, residency or work visa required </li></ul> <p>Description</p> <ul> <li>Burlington High School is seeking two teachers to supervise a morning program for 50 students in July. (Two groups of 25) to teach High School students about AI and career opportunities. Position is part-time. </li><li>Computer science and AI experience is not required. </li><li>The curriculum is being provided and delivered by college students with expertise in computer science and AI. </li><li>Teachers are needed to provide oversight and support to these college leaders and students. </li><li>There will be an Academy Director on site at all times to provide support to teachers. </li><li>Provide oversight and supervision to two college student mentors who are delivering a curriculum to 25 high school students. </li><li>Make recommendations to differentiate instruction. Ensure students' academic, social, and behavioral needs are met. </li><li>Assist with program evaluation upon completion of the program </li></ul> <p>Dates/Times:</p> <ul> <li>Program schedule is July 7 - July 25, Mon - Fri, 9:30 - 12:30, at Burlington High School and industry partners' offices, AND July 28 - July 31, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., at UMass Lowell. </li><li>Attend a virtual orientation on June 23 or June 24, 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. </li><li>One position includes additional hours; the teacher will serve as a chaperone to travel on a bus with approximately 10 - 15 students from Chelsea or Revere at 8:30 a.m. that returns to Chelsea or Revere by 1:30 p.m. </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>In accordance with BEA Unit A contract (prorated in accordance with hours or days worked)</p> <p>The Burlington Public Schools prohibit discrimination and harassment on the basis of sex in any education program or activity that it operates.
