<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job Location: Blackberry Farm - Walland, TN</p> <p>Position Type: Full Time</p> <p>Salary Range: $14.00 - $15.00 Hourly</p> <p>Job Shift: Day</p> <p>Description and Qualifications</p> <p>The Agriculture Tech is responsible for the general maintenance of the garden for guests' enjoyment and the needs of the culinary team.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Perform daily tasks about the upkeep of the culinary garden </li><li>Water plants as necessary </li><li>Maintain a chemical-free garden </li><li>Harvest product daily </li><li>General garden maintenance including hand weeding, staking and trellising, mowing, weed eating, bed preparation, laying compost, transplanting, etc. </li><li>Compost management, including the daily collection of kitchen waste. </li><li>Daily harvest to fill kitchen orders, including trimming, cleaning, and delivery of garden produce </li><li>Organization and maintenance of garden-related tools and equipment </li><li>Interact with guests and team members when necessary </li><li>Other duties as deemed necessary. </li></ul> <p>Must comply with all company policies and procedures.</p> <p>Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.</p> <p>Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests.</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Must have a general knowledge of or interest in organic farming methods </li><li>Equipment operation, specifically tractor, the experience is preferred </li><li>Ability to engage with visiting guests and children </li></ul> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to communicate with all levels of Team Members and Guests in a professional and courteous manner </li></ul> <p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Basic understanding of math </li></ul> <p>REASONING ABILITY</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs. </li><li>Must be able to be on feet for the majority of the day </li><li>Must be able to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, and all weather conditions </li><li>Must be able to operate a golf cart or company vehicle safely </li><li>This is a physically challenging position </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>4,200 acres of Blackberry Farm Property </li></ul> <p>About Blackberry</p> <p>Blackberry Farm is a Relais & Châteaux property that has provided world renowned hospitality to family, friends and guests for almost 50 years.
