<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Curriculum Director is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional programs across the school district. This role ensures alignment with state standards, best practices, and district goals.</p> <p>Additionally, the Curriculum Director supervises instructional coaches, provides professional development, and manages educational grants to enhance instructional effectiveness and student achievement.</p> <p>Terms of Employment: 220 days</p> <p>Reports To: Superintendent</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <p>Curriculum Development & amp; Implementation</p> <ul> <li>Lead the design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of curriculum across all grade levels and subject areas. </li><li>Ensure curriculum alignment with state and national standards, as well as district priorities. </li><li>Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and stakeholders to develop innovative instructional practices. </li><li>Analyze student achievement data to guide curriculum decisions and instructional improvements. </li><li>Serve as a liaison between the district, schools, and external agencies regarding curriculum and instruction. </li><li>Communicate effectively with school leaders, teachers, and community stakeholders about curriculum initiatives. </li><li>Stay informed on educational trends, policies, and legislative updates affecting curriculum and instruction. </li></ul> <p>Instructional Leadership & amp; Coaching</p> <ul> <li>Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain expertise in the field. </li><li>Supervise and support instructional coaches in their efforts to improve teaching practices. </li><li>Provide leadership in professional development initiatives for teachers and staff. </li><li>Implement research-based instructional strategies to enhance student learning outcomes. </li><li>Promote collaboration among educators to foster a culture of continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Grant Management & amp; Program Development</p> <ul> <li>Identify, apply for, and manage educational grants that support instructional initiatives. </li><li>Ensure compliance with grant requirements, including reporting and budget management. </li><li>Align grant-funded programs with district strategic goals to maximize impact. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & amp; Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Valid teaching license in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field. </li><li>Science of Reading trained. </li><li>Minimum of five years of teaching experience, with leadership experience preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional coaching, and grant writing. </li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>This position plays a critical role in shaping instructional excellence and ensuring that all students</p> <p>receive high-quality educational experiences that prepare them for success.</p> <p>Salary: Commensurate with experience.</p> <p>Health Insurance</p> <p>Dental Insurance</p> <p>Vision Insurance</p> <p>Life Insurance</p> <p>Paid Time Off</p> <p>Retirement</p>
