<p>Job Description</p> <p>Position Overview: This role will assist in managing the day-today operations of the facility according to divisional objectives, to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Include but are not limited to</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist in managing the workforce through responsible training and clear job assignment and explanation</p> </li><li> <p>Build relationships with the customer base and key suppliers</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in establishing and implementing short-term goals that are consistent with long range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with manager and utilize additional resources (other branch managers, credit, marketing, human resources, etc.) to maximize profitability</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a safe working environment</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Help maintain inventories to ensure service with minimum delivery delays, while maintaining inventory turn goals</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with handling tasks for assigned accounts</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must understand basic business principals of inventory management and personnel supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>Possess a class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and category 1A applicators license, or ability to obtain</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent customer relations and service skills</p> </li><li> <p>Experience leading safety and business improvement strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and company.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Possess a relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertility.</p> </li><li> <p>Farming experience helpful.</p> </li><li> <p>Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.</p> </li><li> <p>Must obtain and maintain required state commercial applicator certification as required by state.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum Class B with Hazmat endorsement.</p> </li></ul>
