Join us in growing all aspects of our business while embodying these values.</p> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>Our Senior Accountant supports the organization by working within our General Ledger accounts to complete necessary reconciliations, including initiating adjustments. The Senior Accountant role is designed to equip individuals for future leadership in accounting while allowing them to partner with and advise the organization's key decision-makers on how to improve their business based on financial data.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Honor Commitments:</p> <ul> <li>Timely Financial Reporting: </li><li>Ensure on-time and accurate filing of tax returns, including biweekly Federal Excise and monthly State tax returns for a multi-entity/multi-state organization. </li><li>Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met. </li><li>Prepare and distribute all internal and external financial reports promptly. </li><li>Accurate Reconciliation: </li><li>Review and reconcile various accounts with precision and urgency. </li><li>Identify and address any discrepancies swiftly to maintain financial integrity. </li></ul> <p>Create Positive Experiences:</p> <ul> <li>Support Branch Performance: </li><li>Identify financial explanations behind multiple branches' performances. </li><li>Conduct monthly statement reviews and analysis by location to identify trends, patterns, and margins. </li><li>Advisory Role: </li><li>Partner with and advise key decision-makers on financial insights to improve business operations. </li><li>Ensure that financial statements are presented fairly and in accordance with GAAP. </li></ul> <p>Foster Lifelong Learning:</p> <ul> <li>Continuous Improvement: </li><li>Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with accounting standards and practices. </li><li>Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance accounting skills and knowledge. </li><li>Knowledge Sharing: </li><li>Collaborate with team members to share insights and best practices. </li><li>Contribute to a culture of continuous learning within the finance team. </li></ul> <p>Exhibit Pioneering Spirit:</p> <ul> <li>Innovative Analysis: </li><li>Use innovative approaches to analyze financial statements and metrics. </li><li>Prepare and distribute key metrics reports that provide actionable insights for the organization. </li><li>Proactive Problem Solving: </li><li>Identify and reconcile issues with a sense of urgency, using creative solutions to prevent recurrence. </li><li>Gather information and contribute to the successful completion of annual audits and other audits as needed. </li></ul> <p>Demonstrate Good Stewardship:</p> <ul> <li>Financial Integrity: </li><li>Ensure all financial reports and statements are accurate and comply with GAAP. </li><li>Distribute statements internally to management and externally to banks, lending institutions, and franchise partners. </li><li>Efficient Resource Management: </li><li>Contribute to the efficient use of resources by providing accurate financial data for decision-making. </li><li>Support the organization's financial health through diligent accounting practices. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties as Assigned:</p> <ul> <li>Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting business objectives. </li></ul> <p>The above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principal and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.</p> <p>An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
