This multifaceted role encompasses the vital tasks of identifying and promptly resolving a wide spectrum of system, process, and technical issues, ensuring the seamless operations of our business. In addition, the IT Field Technician actively participates in critical initiatives such as new store openings, market construction projects, and on-site field support to drive the growth and efficiency of our operations.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>IT Helpdesk Management (40%)</p> <ul> <li>Efficiently manage helpdesk tickets and support requests, ensuring timely and independent resolution. </li><li>Maintain equipment and software inventory using our helpdesk software. </li><li>Configure and maintain Microsoft Office 365, directory services, SharePoint, HTML, and other applications. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams and end-users to understand technical issues and provide effective solutions. </li><li>Provide end-user support and training to ensure the correct use of applications and tools. </li></ul> <p>Network and Systems Administration (35%)</p> <ul> <li>Purchase, configure, deploy, maintain, and upgrade corporate networks, retail systems, and facilities systems. </li><li>Onboard and offboard team members, managing system access, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees. </li><li>Set up, install, maintain, and update computer hardware and software systems, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. </li><li>Administer and support third-party applications, resolving issues and providing technical guidance to users. </li><li>Implement and enforce network and system security protocols to safeguard data and resources. </li></ul> <p>System Security and Performance (25%)</p> <ul> <li>Proactively monitor and address system performance, including availability, connectivity, utilization, throughput, and latency. Conduct regular system performance evaluations. </li><li>Test systems for vulnerabilities and weaknesses, recommending and implementing security enhancements. </li><li>Collaborate with the IT team to develop and refine IT policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices. </li><li>Specify system requirements and design innovative solutions to optimize system performance and user experience. </li><li>Research and make recommendations on system administration, staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends. </li></ul> <p>Please note that the percentage allocations are a general estimate and may vary based on business needs and priorities.
