<p>Medical Assistant</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in the daily operations of a busy dermatology clinic. This position supports providers by acting as a scribe, rooming patients, assisting with procedure preparation, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Assistant also works extensively within electronic medical record and scheduling systems to ensure accurate documentation and efficient patient flow while maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere for patients, staff, and providers.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Act as a scribe for providers, accurately documenting patient encounters in the electronic medical record systems. </li><li>Room patients efficiently, obtain and document relevant medical information, and prepare them for examinations and procedures. </li><li>Assist providers with the preparation and setup for dermatological procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready. </li><li>Support patient care activities, including basic clinical tasks appropriate to a Medical Assistant or LPN in a dermatology setting. </li><li>Use electronic medical record systems to enter, update, and maintain accurate patient information and clinical documentation. </li><li>Use scheduling software, including Eclipse scheduling database and MediNotes systems, to manage appointments and support clinic workflow. </li><li>Assist with appointment scheduling, patient check-in, and check-out processes as needed to support clinic operations. </li><li>Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and other clinic staff to promote a friendly, efficient, and patient-centered environment. </li><li>Adapt to a fast-paced dermatology clinic, managing a steady patient volume while maintaining attention to detail and quality of care. </li><li>Participate in triage activities, including handling patient calls and routing clinical concerns appropriately, where assigned. </li><li>Support multiple clinic locations or schedules as needed, ensuring consistent and reliable coverage within the dermatology practice. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>At least 2-3 years of Medical Assistant experience required. </li><li>Ability to train and work effectively in a fast-paced dermatology clinic. </li><li>Hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical record systems. </li><li>Experience with appointment scheduling in a clinical setting. </li><li>Ability to act as a scribe for providers and document accurately in real time. </li><li>Strong patient care skills and commitment to providing compassionate, professional service. </li><li>Ability to collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinical staff in a team-based environment. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in dermatology, surgical tech, EMT, or related medical assisting roles is a plus but not required. </li><li>Experience with Epic electronic health record system is beneficial. </li><li>Familiarity with Eclipse scheduling database and MediNotes systems is an advantage. </li><li>Experience in specialty clinics is helpful. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume clinic. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and clinical staff. </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Monday-Thursday: 7am to 4:45pm </li><li>Friday: 7am to 2pm </li><li>Tuesdays will be stationed at the Oconomowoc clinic location </li></ul> <p>Clinic is located in Brookfield, WI.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract position based out of Brookfield, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
