<p>Job Title: K-5 Classroom Teacher (Hiring Multiple Candidates)</p> <p>Start Date: August 2025</p> <p>Licensure: P-5 or Middle Childhood 4-9</p> <p>Status: Full-time</p> <p>Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:00</p> <p>Reports to: Principal</p> <p>Position summary: The elementary school teacher works in collaboration with fellow teaching staff to facilitate student learning in a competency-based environment. The teacher acts as coach and mentor in an inquiry based, STEM learning environment. This teacher is an expert user of electronic communication and is enthusiastic about using existing and emerging technologies to enrich the educational experience of students and the professional environment of the school.</p> <p>Key Teaching Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Design and deliver age appropriate lessons and instruction </li><li>Assess student performance </li><li>Manage, plan, prepare, and differentiate class activities that facilitate active learning experiences </li><li>Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities </li><li>Encourage students to develop problem solving skills by working with peers </li><li>Take attendance each period and monitor students during outside classroom times </li><li>Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment </li><li>Use relevant technology to support instruction </li><li>Provide appropriate feedback on work </li><li>Observe and evaluate student's performance and development </li><li>Build relationships with students, as well as help them develop life skills, positive character traits, and more </li><li>Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students </li><li>Help students grow into solid, independent thinking citizens </li><li>Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures </li><li>Prepare classroom for class activities </li><li>Provide student support, counseling for students with academic problems and provide encouragement </li></ul> <p>Administrative & Other Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Complete long and short-term planning </li><li>Grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments </li><li>Make changes to learning plans and activities based on student performance </li><li>Provide appropriate feedback on work and provide parents with feedback </li><li>Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development </li><li>Analyze collected data and test scores from state exams </li><li>Track and report performance to determine if changes need to be made and identify strategies/methods that work </li><li>Attend staff meetings to address unique situations or problems with individual students, adapt lesson plans to meet students' needs </li><li>Prepare required reports on students and activities </li><li>Hold office hours and schedule weekly club meeting time </li><li>Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, clubs, and student organizations </li><li>Participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings </li></ul> <p>Interested applicants should apply online.</p>
