This setting offers an exceptional quality of life, placing you in a locale known for its supportive atmosphere and providing the ideal base for both building a rewarding professional life and establishing strong community roots.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Your Impact as an Urgent Care CVT</p> <p>Note: The Certified Veterinary Technician title is used in various states based on state-specific licensing and credentialing requirements. Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state's Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable.</p> <ul> <li>Be a Lifeline for Patients in Crisis: You'll be on the front lines, utilizing your full skillset in triage, stabilization, patient monitoring, and critical care under veterinarian supervision. </li><li>Provide Clarity in Critical Moments: You'll be a vital and calming link for pet owners, clearly explaining treatments, reviewing discharge instructions, and providing reassurance during stressful times. </li><li>Lead and Elevate Your Team: In a fast-paced setting, you'll guide and support your colleagues, ensuring a smooth workflow and fostering a focused, collaborative atmosphere. </li><li>Ensure Seamless Care: Your clear and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced environment will be crucial for patient handoffs, case management, and effective team communication. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring to the Team</p> <ul> <li>A calm, efficient, and decisive approach, especially during medical emergencies. </li><li>Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license (CVT) in good standing. </li><li>Proficiency in a range of technical skills, with a strong aptitude for emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing. </li><li>Confidence in handling animals of all temperaments and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure. </li><li>One year of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus! </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities and Benefits</p> <p>How You're Supported</p> <p>As part of the Mission Pet Health family, you get the stability of a local practice backed by the comprehensive benefits and resources of a larger network.
