You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to executing assigned PR projects and manage regional and practice-related visibility as well as other firm-related PR opportunities. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>What you would do:</p> <ul> <li>Write, edit and proofread communications materials including but not be limited to news releases, media pitches, article and media mention summaries, award nominations, regional law firm directory submissions, and social media copy. </li><li>Conduct media relations and maintain external relationships </li><li>Assist the PR Manager in the development of the strategy and plan for supporting media and public relations initiatives. </li><li>Work across assigned markets to identify earned media opportunities and pitch local media outlets. </li><li>Prepare lawyers and consultants for media opportunities, including talking points and media coaching. </li><li>Track applicable award opportunities and legal/business surveys for all firm markets and ensure communications team is apprised of upcoming deadlines. </li><li>Support social media manager in drafting and posting content, as needed. </li><li>Special projects and duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What is expected:</p> <ul> <li>Strong commitment to client service. </li><li>Cooperation and the ability to collaborate in a team, including cross-office. </li><li>Ability to problem solve, use sound judgement and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. </li><li>Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment. </li><li>Positive and professional demeanor. </li></ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li>Paid time for firm-sponsored volunteer events. </li><li>Professional environment and the opportunity to work with experts at the top of their fields. </li><li>Variety of health plan options, as well as dental plans, vision plans and 401(k) contributions. </li><li>Generous paid time off. </li><li>Flexible working environment for work-life success </li></ul> <p>The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $70,00.00 - $80,000.00.</p> <p>Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, in all cases consistent with applicable law. This is an exempt role and the initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for professional staff, which includes, but is not limited to: a discretionary bonus; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.</p> <p>Application Deadline: on or before January 19, 2026</p> <p>What is required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism or English </li><li>A minimum of 4 years of material writing and editing experience </li><li>A minimum of 4 years of public relations experience </li><li>Experience with project managing communications projects, including substantial writing and editing experience, planning and calendaring communications, and leveraging content across communications channels (internal and external) </li><li>Strong writing and editing skills, including an understanding of AP style </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Law firm or other professional services experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Apply now if you are ready to join the Faegre Drinker team!</p> <p>Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP participates in the federal government's E-Verify program.
