<p>Job Description</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>IU Health | Consultant - Community Outreach</p> <p>Location: Indianapolis, IN</p> <p>Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; evenings and weekends as needed</p> <p>Build Your Career with IU Health!</p> <p>Join the Community Health Engagement team as a Community Outreach Consultant and play a vital role in advancing health and wellness initiatives for children and families across Indiana. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to develop and implement community programs, foster partnerships, and promote health equity aligned with IU Health's mission to improve the health of all Hoosiers.</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>The Community Outreach Consultant at IU Health plays a key role in advancing the Office of Community and Child Health by promoting health and wellness for children across Indiana. They serve as a liaison between the community, healthcare providers, and stakeholders, supporting existing programs and developing innovative strategies to improve childhood and maternal health. Responsibilities include designing and executing community outreach initiatives, coordinating partnerships and volunteer programs, managing grants and community projects, and ensuring programs are evidence-based and impactful. They also train team members on metrics, oversee project quality, and foster collaboration with community organizations, aiming to enhance health outcomes and support IU Health's strategic community engagement goals.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement community outreach strategies and initiatives to meet community-identified needs. </li><li>Coordinate and collaborate on community events, programs, and volunteer activities with internal teams and external partners. </li><li>Identify best practices, evaluate program outcomes, and report on impact and effectiveness. </li><li>Manage logistics for programs and events, ensuring smooth execution and stakeholder engagement. </li><li>Develop and facilitate training sessions for team members and external audiences on community health topics, system metrics, and processes. </li><li>Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to extend the Riley Children's Hospital mission statewide. </li><li>Advocate for health and wellness initiatives that promote childhood and maternal health, especially among underserved and high-risk populations. </li><li>Track and report program metrics, outcomes, and best practices, utilizing data to inform strategies and improve impact. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree is required.
