<p>Under the general supervision of the Child Support Director and Child Support Supervisor, this position is responsible for training new and existing child support staff, and assisting in the monitoring of all aspects of the child support agency to ensure services are delivered effectively. This role involves providing performance feedback, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that agency policies and procedures are followed. Additionally, this position ensures the child support agency remains in compliance with regulatory changes and requirements, and is responsible for coordinating various activities related to the agency's operations. </p> <p>60% Serve as lead worker for a group of employees performing responsible case management, clerical, and financial operations</p> <ul> <li>Training of new and existing support staff personnel </li><li>Perform quality control reviews to determine ongoing training needs </li><li>Delegate duties for the child support staff </li><li>Gives general and technical information regarding departmental policies, procedures and regulations of varying complexity </li><li>Responsible for monitoring reports and reporting data training for staff </li></ul> <p>20% Review agency manuals, work rules and standard office procedures, describing agency structure and objectives and work procedures </p> <ul> <li> Reviews reports and assist in the development of forms and procedures related to the activities of the Child Support Agency. </li><li>Maintains established department policies and procedures and creates new policies as needed. </li><li>Attend seminars, conferences, workshops, and training sessions for professional growth and development and to maintain knowledge of current processes and procedures. </li><li>Maintains knowledge of all regulatory requirements related to quality assurance. </li></ul> <p>10% - Assists the Agency Director and Supervisors</p> <ul> <li> Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Child Support Supervisor(s) in his/her/their absence. </li><li> Maintain records and prepares reports as requested. </li><li> Interacts with other governmental agencies </li></ul> <p>5% - Maintain a small caseload.</p> <p> </p> <p>5% - Other duties as assigned.</p> <p> Review agency manuals, work rules, and standard office procedures, describing agency structure and objectives and work procedures.</p> <ul> <li>Considerable knowledge of the State and County Computer Systems, word processing, and bookkeeping programs. </li><li>Considerable knowledge of the Child Support Program including Federal and State requirements. </li><li>Considerable knowledge of court procedures and practices including Wisconsin State Statutes and Administrative Codes. </li><li>Considerable knowledge of human services assistance programs and procedures. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, other County staff, and the general public. </li><li>Ability to maintain accurate and complete records and prepare clear and detailed reports. </li><li>Ability to direct and oversee the work of others. </li><li>Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions. </li><li>Ability to work independently and exercise good sound judgment. </li><li> Graduation from high school or its equivalent </li><li>Five (5) years responsible office experience with an emphasis in the legal field, preferably in family law and child support </li><li>Post high school education from a recognized college or university in business, accounting, or closely related field may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-to-year basis. </li><li>Ability to type neatly and accurately at a rate of 45 net words per minutes. </li></ul> <p>Pursuant to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) 1075 Publication, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) fingerprints and criminal background checks are a component and requirement for access to Federal Tax Information (FTI). New subjects (new hires) must be successfully adjudicated before a start date is established and prior to granting access to FTI. Current subjects (current employees) must complete fingerprints and a criminal background check at least once every five years thereafter.</p> <p>Physical Elements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to sit, walk, or stand for long periods of time. </li><li>Ability to reach files and/or manuals. </li><li>Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. </li></ul> <p> Use of Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to use computer and office equipment. </li></ul> <p> Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Work is mostly inside office work. </li></ul>
