<p>Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Reinsurance Implementation Consultant.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and post journal entries related to ceded reinsurance transactions </li><li>Compile supporting documentation and work papers for journal entries and audits </li><li>Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain fluctuations in ceded premiums and expenses </li><li>Interpret reinsurance treaties and apply appropriate accounting treatment </li><li>Assist in preparing ceded cash disbursements and perform light analytics </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system integration and data migration </li><li>Support the implementation of new reinsurance systems and workflows </li><li>Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Accounting degree strongly preferred) </li><li>3-5 years of experience in reinsurance accounting or financial reporting </li><li>Strong understanding of ceded reinsurance, including excess of loss (XoL) treaties </li><li>Familiarity with how premiums are booked and how to interpret treaty terms </li><li>Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and experience with ERP or reinsurance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft) </li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment </li></ul>
