<p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Must report for duty no less than five minutes prior to scheduled departure time. </li><li>Must know and follow all safety rules and directions for the transportation department as found in the Danville Community School </li></ul> <p>Corporation Transportation Department employee Handbook.</p> <ul> <li>Assist bus drivers with proper student management and enforcement of all bus safety rules as found in the Danville Community </li></ul> <p>School Corporation Transportation department employee handbook.</p> <ul> <li>Assist drivers to establish and document student seating charts. </li><li>Assist student on and off the bus; bus aide is responsible for the student from the time they leave the ground entering the bus until </li></ul> <p>they depart the bus.</p> <ul> <li>Assist students with and assure that all students are properly secured in all applicable occupant restraint systems. </li><li>Observe and manage student welfare. </li><li>Demonstrate exemplary attendance and conduct. </li><li>Advise the Transportation Director of any student concerns. </li><li>Check the bus after every route or trip for sleeping children. </li><li>Must maintain confidentiality. </li><li>Must refrain from gossip, spreading rumors or hearsay and creating dissen </li></ul>
