<p>Job Title: Resident Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Resident Engineer serves as a critical liaison between our technical teams and customers, acting as a technical project manager for projects involving specific features of camera products. The role encompasses understanding customer requirements, tracking open issues, and managing change requests.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Determine customer requirements for camera products. </li><li>Track and resolve open issues within assigned projects. </li><li>Manage and track change requests from customers. </li><li>Communicate effectively with both customers and product development teams. </li><li>Oversee the project focusing on Surround View and Front Facing Cameras. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>At least 2 years of professional experience. </li><li>Understanding of the product lifecycle, including full cycle or front-end development and testing/validation. </li><li>Experience with camera product integration, including hardware and software development. </li><li>Proficiency in bench testing and in-vehicle testing of CAN communication protocols. </li><li>Ability to handle customer interactions, including design review meetings and engineering change requests (ECR). </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. </li><li>Experience in electronics, customer interaction, and requirements gathering. </li><li>Familiarity with CAN, DTC, CAN BUS, and CAN LOG. </li><li>Experience in developing, analyzing, and testing software, hardware, and system level requirements. </li><li>Experience at an automotive OEM, preferably GM. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role involves working 3 days per week onsite at GM Milford/Warren and 1-2 days at supplier headquarters in Farmington Hills. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge camera technology connected to infotainment systems, with exposure to both end-users and customers.
