<p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be an integral member of the Division of Hospitalist Medicine at Hasbro Children's Hospital caring for infants, children and adolescents admitted to the Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) service. Working alongside a pediatric hospital medicine attending, the Advance Practice Provider will provide comprehensive pediatric care to patients admitted to the hospital from admission through discharge. Additional management of subspecialty patients will be included. Close collaboration within an interdisciplinary team including social work, case management, child life, and pediatric subspecialty teams are required to serve this vulnerable group of patients. The position is primarily a daytime role with a combination of weekdays and occasional weekends.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage a caseload of hospitalized patients with teams of APPs, residents, and supervising attendings.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides educational opportunities for medical students, residents, and other NP/PA students, as appropriate.</p> </li></ul> <p>BASIC KNOWLEDGE:</p> <p>Masters of Science Degree or Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Demonstrates outstanding communication skills, clinical care competency, and ability to work well in teams.
