<p>The candidate can expect to teach a broad range drama and humanities courses determined by the evolving needs of the department. Experience teaching diverse students at various levels of college-preparedness and non-traditional students is highly desirable.</p> <ul> <li>M.A. in Film Studies, Fine Art, Communication; knowledge or working experience with film pre-production, production and postproduction; graduate course work in film history and or appreciation; professional/academic experience with film critique and/or analysis;  </li><li>1-2 years' experience in teaching film history and/or appreciation (or related Humanities based courses) at the college level. </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Commitment to teaching a student body diverse in ability, age, ethnicity, race, and sexual orientation. </li><li>Must successfully pass a criminal background check. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Three to four years teaching drama and theater courses at a community college. </li><li>Experience with academic outcomes assessment, date collection, and analysis.  </li><li>Experience with our (LMS) learning management system (D2L) desire to learn. </li></ul> <p> STATUS/SALARY: </p> <p>This is a part-time adjunct position with salary to be determined by placement on the faculty salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.</p>
