This individual will play a key role in shaping and executing the company's operations strategy by identifying growth opportunities, optimizing core processes, and driving cross-functional transformation programs that align with business objectives.</p> <p>This is a mission-critical role that partners with executive leadership to build the future of our operations.</p> <p>This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.</p> <p>This role requires you to work on-site at least 3 days per week at one of our US hubs: Northridge, CA, Juncos, PR, San Antonio, TX, Duluth, GA, or Minneapolis, MN. This on-site presence is vital for collaboration and maintaining strong team connections. Please be aware that the hybrid schedule may change based on business needs, potentially requiring additional on-site days.</p> <p>Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.</p> <p>Strategic Planning & Operational Design</p> <ul> <li>Develop and refine the company's long-term operations strategy, aligned with enterprise goals. </li><li>Identify operational inefficiencies and emerging opportunities across the value chain (manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, customer operations). </li><li>Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and prioritize strategic initiatives, transformation roadmaps, and resource allocation. </li><li>Responsible for Business continuity Plan </li><li>Oversee Make/Buy - develop a long-term capacity strategy </li><li>MiniMed Operating System (Including Opex) </li><li>Oversee PMO for TSA exit management </li></ul> <p>Transformation Program Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead large-scale cross-functional transformation programs from concept to execution. </li><li>Define program scope, KPIs, success metrics, and governance structure. </li><li>Drive alignment across business units and functions to ensure consistent implementation and measurable impact. </li><li>Process Optimization & Innovation </li><li>Introduce and champion continuous improvement practices, including Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and digital transformation methodologies. </li><li>Identify technology enablers to drive automation, analytics, and productivity improvements. </li><li>Evaluate current-state processes and implement scalable, sustainable improvements. </li></ul> <p>Change Management & Culture Building</p> <ul> <li>Develop and lead change management strategies to support adopting new processes, technologies, and operating models. </li><li>Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence. </li></ul> <p>Executive Collaboration & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Provide regular updates to the COO and senior executives on strategic initiative progress, risks, and ROI. </li><li>Serve as a key advisor and thought partner in operational planning, decision-making, and future-state design. </li><li>Build dashboards and executive presentations to communicate strategic impact and transformation progress. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience </li><li>Or, Advanced degree and minimum of 13 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience </li></ul> <p>Nice to have:</p> <ul> <li>Background in top-tier consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or enterprise strategy roles. </li><li>Experience in digital transformation or smart operations initiatives. </li><li>Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification a plus. </li><li>Experience in global or multi-site manufacturing environments. </li><li>Excellent presentation skills with strong ability to present both qualitative and quantitative information in a clear, concise and persuasive manner to all levels of the organization </li><li>Exceptional execution skills, with a track record of delivering on financial and strategic commitments </li><li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and motivate a team towards achieving goals </li><li>Knowledgeable and experienced with financial reports, modeling exercises, interpreting and communicating operating and financial information </li><li>Experienced utilizing Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook </li><li>Knowledge/Experience in Healthcare and/or Medical Device Industry </li><li>Knowledgeable in Diabetes Management </li></ul> <p>Travel:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to travel up to 25% of time </li></ul> <p>Physical Job Requirements</p> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.</p> <p>The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. PR) locations (USD):$187,200.00 - $280,800.00</p> <p>This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).</p> <p>This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.</p> <p>The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
