We are currently hiring operators experienced with:</p> <ul> <li>Excavators </li><li>Dozers </li><li>Loaders </li><li>Skid </li><li>Fork Trucks </li><li>Cranes </li><li>Haul Trucks </li><li>Rollers </li></ul> <p>The ideal applicant has 5+ years of experience as an equipment operator and maneuvers equipment in a safe manner.</p> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>IUOE Local 139 Wages</p> <p>Per diem for travelers of 70 miles or greater to job site</p> <p>Overtime Available- Project is scheduled to work 6 days a week</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Completes Crew Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily</p> <p>Recognize hazards and danger zones</p> <p>Plan and execute work with minimum supervision</p> <p>Read and interpret blueprints</p> <p>Properly identify soil types</p> <p>Complete shallow and deep trenching excavations activities</p> <p>Rough and fine grading with dozer</p> <p>Safely Load and unload materials</p> <p>Drive water truck/off road truck</p> <p>Completes machine load charts</p> <p>Operate long reach excavator and motor grader</p> <p>Operate walk behind roller compactor and plate compactor</p> <p>Operate small construction equipment (front loader, mixer, forklift, and skid steer)</p> <p>Inspect and provide basic maintenance on equipment</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Must be an existing member or willing to join International Union of Operating Engineers Local 139</p> <p>Prior experience with self-perform earthwork operations in commercial or civil environments</p> <p>Must be able to use laser level</p> <p>Identify and use common construction materials, hand tools, and power/electrical tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, drill, Sawzall, skill-saw, vibrators, saw, demolition hammer, etc.)</p> <p>Understand construction terminology</p> <p>Proven commitment to Safety</p> <p>Work in an organized manner</p> <p>Able to work night shifts when needed</p> <p>Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site</p> <p>Ability to work independently and follow instructions</p> <p>Must be self-motivated and can work well with others</p> <p>Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency</p> <p>Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds</p> <p>Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces</p> <p>Minimum age 18+</p> <p>Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization</p> <p>McCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.</p> <p>NOTICE TO EXTERNAL SEARCH FIRMS: McCarthy's Talent Acquisition Team is the only authorized representative permitted to engage with external search firms, staffing agencies, or other third-party recruiting partners.
